The Site does not use cookies. There are no accounts or purchases on the Site, and we do not collect your name, address or payment details through it.

  • To comply with the law. Legal basis: legal obligation.

4. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and no longer than 3 years. Hosting access logs are kept by the hosting provider under its own retention policy.

5. Services we use and international transfers

We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics tool. To deliver the Site we use the following service. When you view a page, technical data such as your IP address is sent to it.

  • GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., United States): hosting of the Site

We are based in Japan, and the hosting provider is based in the United States, so your data is processed outside the UK and Australia. Japan has a UK adequacy regulation and an EU adequacy decision; transfers to the United States rely on the provider’s own safeguards. Please see each provider’s privacy policy for how it handles data.

6. Links to Amazon

The “Buy on Amazon” buttons link to product pages on Amazon UK and Amazon Australia. When you buy, Amazon handles your name, address and payment details under its own privacy notice. We do not receive this information through the Site.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of, correct, delete or restrict the use of the personal information we hold about you, to stop using it, or to transfer it to you. Contact us using the details below; we will verify your identity and respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in Australia.

8. Security

We take appropriate measures to protect against the loss, misuse or unauthorised disclosure of the personal information we hold.

9. Changes to this policy
